Auto Correct..

So I got this email this morning. I almost never forward anything on. I think that most things that I get are just plain stupid and I just don't want to be guilted into anything that says "You must not love Jesus if you don't forward this to 4 thousand friends". Most people have pretty much figured out by now to not send me anything unless it is some kind of actual note. But, this morning I got one. And I peed my pants laughing. I'm sure half of yall have already read this but I couldn't help not passing this on to as many people as I could if for no other reason than maybe it will make them pee their pants too!

Here goes.

Hope that these made everyone laugh today!

Mueller Munchin'

I was beyond excited tonight when my husband called from work this afternoon and said that he needed to make a sales call to a local restaurant. Bobby works in lighting sales and one of his customers is a wonderful seafood place call Sea Island. They seriously have some of the yummiest food that I have ever eaten (and believe me, I have eaten a lot).

The only downside to our little outing tonight was the fact that both myself and my husband are both on diets. We really should not be eating out period but whatever.

My sweet boys were so good. Graham did awesome and studied for his sight words test that is tomorrow and Grady helped out trying to sweeten everyones drinks!

Do you not just love my crazy rat-trap hair?? The weather here has just been horrid!

My hubby did awesome on his diet and ordered the caesar salad with shrimp. To make the evening more wonderful the gentleman that is my husbands customer brought us Key Lime Pie dessert to the table on the house!

This was just a wonderful way to end the day with my men and with some food!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

This week I decided to join up with  Jamie to do What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm excited to share my new favorite things (I just love to sound like Oprah minus all the awesome free stuff). I see and use stuff all the time that I'm in LOVE with that I just want to call and tell all my friends about and now I can just do this! Yeah, go me.

To start off with, I love love love this product. My lips are just horrible almost all year long but during winter my lips are almost unbearable to me until I found and used this...

Neosporin® Lip Health™ daily hydration therapy
I used to be a carmex addict. Then my addiction turned to Burt's Bees. One random day I lost my BB lip stuff and had to use lip gloss (can I just say ouch) when they started to get all cracky and funny. Oddly later that day I notice they were feeling better. I finally realized that my years of using lip balm with "that minty tingly cooly feeling" (I think its the eucalyptus) was to blame for trashing my lips! I swear up and down that's what was drying my lips out soo bad! After switching to the Neosporin Lip Health my lips are a different person (if it could be possible that lips were a person to be a person in the first place?...hmmm). Also after re-reading this paragraph and if anyone from Neosporin is reading this blog (yeah, right) bring on the endorsement contract!

This towel I just found at Bed,Bath, and Beyond this past weekend. I had been looking forever to find a towel to hang up in our downstairs bathroom that screamed "Decorative" and "Don't Use Me"! I just loved it. I am trying to do the bathroom in mostly black, brown, and tan (with some colored accents). As my house gets messier boys get older I find that its easier to keep things in dark neutral tones to hide the dirt that is inevitable.

Most of all though, this is what I'm loving this week...

Fun With Boxes

This year my husband has decided to start the Nutrisystem Diet (which is a whole 'nother post) and our house has been flooded with boxes galore!

Both the boys are acting like its Christmas morning all over again. I swear that next year I am seriously only getting them boxes.

Most of the joy today was had by Grady. Poor Graham only got to suffer through 2nd grade and got some really used and beat up boxes to play with. But, play with them he did.

Please pardon the nakedness.
Grady this morning was in pure bliss! He crawled in them and then out, beat on them like drums, sat in them like houses, and fished out of them like boats. When all that was done he attacked them with his crayons!

I totally took 40 pictures to get just this one where he would even look at me!

Can you see where he colored on his face this morning? You should also see my shirt and my arm from when I attempted to wrestle the marker away. Please pray for me that it washes out. :)

And don't you also love his crazy hair and my dirty floor from this angle? I do. I love them both.
I really am so glad that just a couple of silly boxes totally made our day today!

Hillary

Baby Jail

Lately our youngest son, Grady, has been having some issues. In his defense he is only 2 years old and there is totally a reason the phrase "terrible twos" is soo common. Its, well, because two year olds are just BAD BAD BAD!

In the more recent weeks he has been hitting and pushing his brother, younger friends, and me.One day after swatting his backside I noticed a confused look on his face and I realized that how I was disciplining him just didn't make sense to him. Once I thought about it, it didn't make sense to me either!

Here I was swatting him and then telling him "no, we don't hit". After thinking for a little bit I decided to go with the "time out" method. I have tried this one before, but the problem is that he won't stay put for the time out. I find it pointless to physically hold down little ones who may not even understand whats going on yet.

But, I did figure out a plan that Grady could understand....

I like to call it "Baby Jail".

It's just one small area of our hallway that goes off to our laundry room, half bath, and master bedroom. Once he realized that he could see the rest of us having a good time with out him the water works started! But you know what else? That was the only time he pushed someone! I'm curious to see how this will pan out in the long run.

Just for fun I wanted to share some of the other fun stuff he's been up to so far this week.

See the blue crayon on both the floor and the wall. AND.ITS.ONLY.MONDAY. Dear Lord, help this mother out!

And so that this isn't totally a depressing post I leave you with a cute picture of how he started out this morning. He quite literally hit the ground running!

What We're Watching This Weekend!

Surprise, surprise... this week we got another 3 movies from Netflix. This time only 2 were for Bobby and myself and the other was a request from Graham. He has been reading "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" for a while now and he was able to go to the movies and see it with a friend. One day when I was adding to our Netflix queue he noticed that DOAWK was on there and begged for it. I, of course, said ABSOLUTELY!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

This movie was just plain old good silly fun. I have loved the books for Graham soo much. He still is not that strong of a reader but when he has these books in front of him they make him want to try so much harder! I just can not shout the praises of a book that will do that for a kid.

The movie that Bobby and I watched last night was...

Killers

Once again...such a good movie. I had heard that this was not a good movie (AMY, YOU LIED). But, Bobby and I just loved it! I was really a smart and funny movie. Plus, anything that I can watch with my hubby that he actually enjoys and doesn't just suffer through is A+ in my book.

Instead of the third movie we received which was....

Get Him to the Greek

we are going out to the movies! My husband is such a big fan of westerns, the older the better. And, so we are seeing this!

Poster art for "True Grit"

I am pretty excited to see this... ok mostly I'm excited that I get to leave my house... with my husband...alone...

It has been soo long since we had a date night out that I'm  embarrassed unable to remember when the last time was.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend!

Hillary

Crash

I've been pretty remiss in not introducing a small, furry, member of the family.

Meet Crash, the dachshund!

And this is pretty much where he spends the better part of his time (when hes not following one of us around endlessly from room to room...) oh yeah, and can I tell you how glad I am that this is my husbands pillow??
He is not actually 100% true blue dachshund. The last time we took him to the vet he was pronounced to have "ears that were too short". One day if I ever have the, you know, spare $100 I want one of those doggie DNA test to see what he's a mix of.

We have had Crash for about 6 years now. My husband found him outside the Millwork he was working at the time and decided to bring him home. He was soo little and cute that day. A good friend of ours who was a vet came over to the house that night to check him out and get him his first set of vaccines. She said that he appeared to be maybe 4-6 months old and in pretty good shape for a dog that had no collar. When we asked Graham (who at the time was only 2) what we should name our new pet he said "Crash" and obviously that name stuck!

This is Crash's other favorite place. His bed! He keeps it stocked with his "babies" and he cuddles with them at night.

He really has been a very good little dog over the years. He barks at any animal or person that dares to enter our yard area and I've been pretty thankful for that trait over the years. I know not to worry at night if he's not worried.

And this would be his 3rd favorite place, looking out the back door making sure no cats, squirrels, or home invaders come near!

Bobby and I are so blessed to have this sweet little brown soul in ours and our children's lives. He provides security when its dark, comfort for when we are sad, and joy just because he's here!

We love you buddy!

Hillary
