A Brief Discourse On How I Like To Torture My Husband

This morning my beloved received a text from me that had this picture and the words...

"Look at what you have to put up!"

You see I have this awesome friend who had a gorgeous hanging lamp over her dining room table and upon hearing how much I loved it she removed it from her ceiling and brought it over to me! Seriously! How amazballz!

In my VAST imagination it hangs right here over my ginormous tub. To my girl-ish and constructionally (#ijustmadethatwordup) ignorant mind he can some how pull out the light bulb and just simply install my gorg chandelier right here. Right?

My husband's reply was less than thrilling for me to hear...

"Not without tearing down the ceiling to redo the electrical."

Surely he jests. He just must not remember the light bulb spot. Cause you know, if there is a light bulb there then there is electricity and that is all that my little chandelier need to work. Right?

I figure that his memory is the problem so I then text him the next picture to kindly remind him that there need be no removal of any ceiling to get the job done.

I find it just crazy that I haven't heard back from him yet. :)

**Please ignore my 1980's bathroom with the solid gold fixtures, glass block shower, and PINK wooden cabinet. Surely you can you see why it's vital that I get started re-doing this bathroom??

Boys Boys Boys

"What we have a right to expect of the
American boy is that he shall turn out to
be a good American man. The boy can
best become a good man by being a good
boy- not a goody-goody boy, but just a plain good boy...
"Good", in the largest sense, should include
whatever is fine, straightforward, clean, and manly.

So Weird

So I finally told my neighbors down the street about Caroline. I had been meeting them at the bus stop for 2 and a half years and I just now told them. I mentioned to them that we'd be having a garage sale very soon to support March of Dimes and would love it if they had anything to contribute to our sale. The inevitable happened and they asked the whys? questions. I know my very brief explanation of "we had a daughter but she was stillborn and passed away (duh Hillary) and this is our way to honor her" was probably a lot to take it. I KNOW it was a lot to take in. The ladies faces said it all. One even took very visible steps away from me.

::Sigh::

What to do. What to do. I love to share my girl with people. I hate when they act like uncouth idiots about it. Maybe this was my one chance to get one of the ladies to shut up already about how  I really need to "have a little girl".

Born In Silence

I found one of the most powerful video's this morning on another blog and really felt called to share it. By far and away it's a wonderful thing to watch by people who have NOT lost a child! Every 21 minutes in the United States a child is stillborn. You might be the friends and family to that child. This short 4 minute video is a wonderful, brief introduction into how you can help support a grieving family. And, if nothing else, you will have a greater understanding of their life.

My "Baby" And Me

My sweet Grady Tucker.

A Solid Picture Only Post Compliments Of My New Camera!

Get ready for 1000 pictures of Graham at the Cubscout Pinewood Derby 2013!

Graham and his friend Michael

Cheery Grady!

Graham wanted his to be a "Halo" car. He really likes the idea of the Halo game but hasn't even played it yet!

Some awesome moms (not me) went all out and made incredible cakes that were auctioned off.

A totally random shot of Graham's cafeteria. Graham's school is really new and they went BOLD with color and design. I LOVE it!

The amazing bake sale.

I love that they are saying the Pledge of Allegiance in School!

The cubscouts invited the Kindergarten boys to come in watch. Hopefully they will all want to come and join next year!

Littlest kids in front... :)

They projected each kids name and time up on the gym wall as they were going. So cool!!

43 cars!

The younger boys that were lined up along the track gave everyone "fives" as they got done racing their cars. Love me some sportsmanship!

A VERY rare moment for the Mueller brothers...

Call Me Maybe :)

The City lent a couple of Firefighters to entertain the kids during some down times.

My kid's car beating another kids car. :)

2nd Place overall.

Bobby had just seen the results before the general announcements.

Graham received one trophy for 1st place in his Den.

and second place overall!!

The city also sent over a police officer to write the 1st place winner a speeding ticket.

Graham and his friend Bryce.

I'm so proud of my big winner!!!
