We Are Home!

and have been since Friday...

Sorry Ya'll that it's taken me soo long to catch back up on things. It's been just a little different around here lately! :) But, we have loooved every minute of it!!

Just for a quick recap of the past couple of day (with my most sincere promise to blog tons more tomorrow)...

Griffin is doing awesome! The closest word that can describe my youngest son is peaceful. He is just so laid back and relaxed most of the time. He only gets cranked up during diaper changes and clothing changes. So far he has been a champion sleeper during the day and quite the alert little monkey at night. To say that I am sleep deprived already is the understatement of the year! I still wouldn't have it any other way though... :)

Graham and Grady are positively in love with their little brother. Mostly Graham but I know that as Grady gets just a teensy bit older he'll start to feel the same way. Graham has already been the biggest help in holding him when I need an extra set of hands. He does it joyfully and with such pride! Last night he cuddled up next to me when I had Griffin in my arms and sat pressed to me for the longest time. I think that he just really liked the nearness of being next to a little brother that he'd dreamed about for so long...

My Momma is going home tomorrow after Griffin's first doctor's appointment. I'm super sad and will miss her more than she will know. She (along with my brother and his wife) will be here to celebrate Thanksgiving with us at our house this year so it won't be too long between visits. I can't wait for her to see how much he has grown in the short amount of time that she'll have been gone!

My lack of preparation before Griffin arrived has taken its toll on me. The house is not as ready and as organized as I would like it to be. I know that this is a problem of my own making and I'm still ok with my decision to protect my heart this time around. I'm slowly but surely getting items in place and the house baby ready!

I cross my heart promise to post again tomorrow (and with pictures!) to let ya'll see more of our newest little darling boy.

Thanks soo much to all of you for your sweet comments and ceaseless prayers for me and my family! I could not have made it through all of these months with my sanity in tact with out ya'll!
