What We're Watching This Weekend!

Surprise, surprise... this week we got another 3 movies from Netflix. This time only 2 were for Bobby and myself and the other was a request from Graham. He has been reading "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" for a while now and he was able to go to the movies and see it with a friend. One day when I was adding to our Netflix queue he noticed that DOAWK was on there and begged for it. I, of course, said ABSOLUTELY!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

This movie was just plain old good silly fun. I have loved the books for Graham soo much. He still is not that strong of a reader but when he has these books in front of him they make him want to try so much harder! I just can not shout the praises of a book that will do that for a kid.

The movie that Bobby and I watched last night was...

Killers

Once again...such a good movie. I had heard that this was not a good movie (AMY, YOU LIED). But, Bobby and I just loved it! I was really a smart and funny movie. Plus, anything that I can watch with my hubby that he actually enjoys and doesn't just suffer through is A+ in my book.

Instead of the third movie we received which was....

Get Him to the Greek

we are going out to the movies! My husband is such a big fan of westerns, the older the better. And, so we are seeing this!

I am pretty excited to see this... ok mostly I'm excited that I get to leave my house... with my husband...alone...

It has been soo long since we had a date night out that I'm  embarrassed unable to remember when the last time was.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend!

Love,

Hillary

Hi Hillary,
I found your blog link through MckMama's blog.

I have an 8 year old boy and it WAS like pulling teeth to get him to read. He received Diary of a Wimpy Kid books for Christmas and I can't get his nose out of them. Just reading your post made me feel like I wrote it myself.

I told my hubby I should write a Thank You note to Jeff Kinney for such wonderful books, that make our son WANT to read.

Have a great day,
Tracy
